Just as all families are different so too does each dog have its very own personality. So, in a sense, there’s bound to be the perfect dog for your family out there. Some dogs are made to be part of loving families, whereas others might take a bit of adjusting and perhaps not be suitable for large or small families.
Some breeds of dog are generally more suitable for being part of a family than others. Examples include Labradors or Golden Retrievers. These dogs not only look great but they tend to have all of the character traits you’d want for your family-life. They are loyal, gentle and very loving creatures, not to mention extremely intelligent.
Another option might be a boxer dog. You might not immediately think of them as family pets, perhaps because of how they look. You should never judge a book by its cover of course, they tend to be very gentle and playful.
Whilst the breed can say a lot about how a dog is likely to behave there are always differences from animal to animal. With this in mind, it’s definitely a good idea to go and see your pet at the pet store before you commit to buy. Some owners say they fell in love with their pet as soon as they saw them, and you never know this could happen to you!
