Why would you go artificial when you can have the real thing? Well, actually when it comes to floral arrangements there are lots of reasons why artificial might be better than real. Artificial flowers are a very popular alternative to real blooms, here are some reasons why:
Whilst the fragility of a real flower is a part of its visual and symbolic appeal, when we’re talking in practical terms it can be a problem. If you want to decorate a table display or make a floral arrangement for a hotel lobby, for example, you need to be careful not to damage a real flower. Artificial flowers are much more durable, however, and they can last years in-situ, and be used again and again.
Another potential drawback with flowers is that they’re very seasonal, and so some kinds of blooms may not be available at certain times of the year. Or if they are available they are very expensive. Whilst artificial greenery and flowers is not seasonal (for obvious reasons) it is available in a huge range of colours and styles, so you can mimic practically any bloom all through the year.
Because artificial flowers are durable they can be used again and again, and this means that they are very cost effective. Some real flowers can be very expensive, however an artificial arrangement can be more affordable and more durable and long-lived.
