When people are making improvements to their homes, they sometimes choose to invest in new insulated garage doors. Given the popularity of property enhancements, it seems demand for these products may be particularly high at present. According to a survey conducted by Help over, 84 per cent of consumers have spent up to £5,000 doing up their abodes over the last four years.
This is despite the fact that UK national and household incomes have fallen by over 13 per cent this year compared with the start of the banking crisis four years ago.
In total, it polled 5,800 adults and asked them what work they had conducted on their properties. It found that one per cent had spent more than £30,000 on making major alterations, while seven per cent had painted the outside of their homes. To complete the look of their properties, these consumers might well have opted to buy new garage doors.
Commenting on the findings, Sarah Potter from Helpucover.co.uk said: “Despite 56 per cent of us wanting to move on from where we’re living and the UK having been in recession, our survey shows that we’re still spending money on home improvements.”
She went on to question how people are funding these changes. However, as long as consumers are savvy, they can benefit from excellent deals on their garage doors and other items. This could help to make the alterations more affordable.
Unsurprisingly, lots of homeowners now head online when they are sourcing doors and other objects.
